Alice Walker

Alice Walker is a poet and novelist. She is the author of several works including The Color Purple. The epistolary novel won a Pulitzer Prize in 1983; it was adapted into a film by Steven Spielberg in 1985. The novel was also adapted into a musical in 2006, which was nominated for several Tony Awards. She has written numerous short stories and poetry collections such as In Love & Trouble, The Way Forward Is with a Broken Heart, Once, Revolutionary Petunias, Horses Make A Landscape Look More Beautiful, Good Night Willie Lee and many more. She lives in Northern California.
