WOMEN’S PRIZE FOR FICTION LAUNCHES PODCAST SERIES AVAILABLE NOW

 

Featuring Dolly Alderton, Bettany Hughes, Scarlett Curtis, Joanna Trollope and Kate Mosse

The Women’s Prize for Fiction along with partner Baileys have launched a brand-new series of podcasts produced by Fremantle, available to listen to via Acast now. Episodes will feature discussions from its sell-out Book Bar events as well as interviews and readings with the shortlisted authors and the 2019 winner.

The six-part podcast, presented by author of the Forgotten Women series and Editor at Vice, Zing Tsjeng, features live content recorded from thought provoking discussions, inspiring readings and exclusive interviews with all the authors featured in this year’s Women’s Prize for Fiction shortlist.

Episodes will be released weekly starting today with ‘Thinking Pink’ on what feminism means to millennials with Dolly Alderton, Scarlett Curtis and Clarissa Pabi.

Thinking Pink: What Feminism Means to Millennials (available now)

  • Journalist, bestselling author and 2019 judge Dolly Alderton, feminist campaigner Scarlett Curtis and producer of the Mostly Lit podcast Clarissa Pabi join best-selling author Kate Mosse to chat about what the F-word means to millennials today and share some of the feminist books that have inspired them.

 

Women Mean Business (available 17.05.19)

  • Digital Entrepreneur and 2019 judge Sarah Wood, founder of the Black British Business Awards Melanie Eusebe, Jess Butcher MBE, Co-Founder of Tick & Blippar and tech entrepreneur Sharmadean Reid MBE, founder of WAH Nails and Beautystack, join Kate Mosse to talk about the female authors and books that played a part in their incredible success, and how women are reshaping the world of work today.

 

Women Writers Revisited (available 24.05.19)

  • A one-off live version of Women’s Prize for Fiction’s hugely popular new online feature Women Writers Revisited, journalist, theatre critic and 2019 judge Arifa Akbar, previous winner of the Women’s Prize for Fiction Linda Grant, and novelist Joanna Trollope discuss the overlooked or ‘forgotten’ female writers who have inspired them.

 

Unsung Heroines of History (available 31.05.19)

  • Author, broadcaster and Chair of 2019 judges Professor Kate Williams, specialist in European colonial and post-colonial History Professor Olivette Otele and author, broadcaster and Classicist Bettany Hughes join Kate Mosse to discuss inspirational women from history, including those who have been unjustly written out of the narrative.
