Last night at the Clore Ballroom at London’s Southbank Centre, a host of literary luminaries and famous faces came together to celebrate the 2017 winner of the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction, Naomi Alderman with her fourth novel, The Power.
An array of red carpet arrivals including actor and comedian Stephen Mangan, 2017 Baileys Prize judges Katie Derham and Aminatta Forna, former Baileys Prize winners Ali Smith and Lionel Shriver, author JoJo Moyes and many more attended last night’s festivities.
This year’s brilliant shortlisted authors, Naomi Alderman, with her book The Power, Linda Grant, with her book The Dark Circle, Ayobami Adebayo, with her book Stay With Me, Gwendoline Riley, with her book First Love and Madeleine Thien, with her book Do Not Say We Have Nothing gather for a photocall ahead of the winner’s announcement.
