The Women’s Prize Trust are delighted to present this year’s Women’s Prize for Fiction shortlisted authors readings event at the Southbank Centre on Tuesday 2nd June.

The Women’s Prize for Fiction, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is the UK’s most prestigious annual book award celebrating and honouring fiction by women. This year’s shortlisted authors, who will be announced on Wednesday 22nd April, will be reading from and discussing their work ahead of the winner announcement on Wednesday 3rd June.

The event will be chaired by this year’s Chair of Judges Martha Lane Fox. Martha is founder and executive chair of Doteveryone.org.uk, a charity fighting for a fairer internet and building a movement for responsible technology. Martha became a crossbench peer in the UK House of Lords in March 2013. In 2017 she was appointed a member of the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy. Martha is a director of Twitter and Non-Executive Director of Chanel. She is also a non-executive director of the Donmar Warehouse and the Queens Commonwealth Trust.

The readings will take place on Tues 8th September 18:30 at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX.
